100. Oct 6, 2013. #8. UPEI and Dal (previously NSAC) both have pre vet programs. I went to Dal and I loved it. They have farm animals on sight that are used frequently for classes. It's a small town which I preferred. Just a note though about gaining residency. You can't gain residency while you're in undergrad.

While I don't know anything specifically about NC State, I do know that, just because you get into vet school, it doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get your DVM. Professors are allowed to fail students, and several per year at other vet schools are either held back to repeat a year or drop out all together.

It becomes exponentially more difficult to find an alternate path if you just have the pre reqs for vet school done and no degree or anything else to show for it.
